I’ve been properly into climbing since I was 14. And have gradually become more and more obsessed since then.  I’m most inspired by big alpine stuff, but enjoy most activities which come under the larger umbrella of “climbing.”

I been diabetic since I was 8, so haven’t really known any different. Having this condition definitely adds an extra layer of challenge to climbing, especially alpinism, but I’ve never allowed it to be an excuse to stop me doing anything. I know for a lot of diabetics, the condition is a limiting factor in their lives and without trying to be too preachy I’m hoping that by writing this blog I might show some of them that it doesn’t have to be.
